Scams does not proliferate through emails or junk mails these days. We now receive all sort of scam and fake promotionals through our mobile phone popularly known as text scam. Some of us naive of these ploys are taken advantage by these scheming thugs.

So when unsure about promotionals?

Don't be fooled by scambugs! Beware!

Check the promo permit number if it is DTI - Department of Trade and Industry approved through the following:

Ang mga nananalo ng malaking premyo sa isang promo ay pinapadalhan ng sulat o telegrama upang sabihin na sila ay nanalo at hindi sa pamamagitan ng text message lamang.

Huwag basta-basta magbigay ng mahalagang impormasyon tungkol sa iyong sarili gaya ng

address sa bahay at opisina, pangalan, at lalong-lalo na ang bank account number na diumano ay gagamitin "for verification."

Lalong huwag magdeposito ng pera sa isang bank account number at huwag magpadala ng prepaid load na diumano ay para sa "tax" ng inyong premyo.

I started this blog for the purpose of educating/informing Pinoy consumers of products and services available in the market. It is also the intention of making Pinoy consumers to advocate what is worth of their devalued purchasing power.

For the first post I am sharing this news, which I came to know via plurk, my portal and link for interesting news, entertainment and other stuff.

I am concerned about this issue since I patronize Del Monte products and recently purchased several items being questioned of contamination, though I have to check whether the items I bought belong to the controversial batch.

THE Bureau of Food and Drugs (Bfad) is now investigating a complaint filed by an employee of the network giant ABS-CBN who claimed that the tomato sauce that his wife used in cooking contained what appeared to be a “heart of a small mammal” suspected to be that of a rat.

The complaint filed by Mario Bautista of Bacoor, Cavite, and an employee of the ABS-CBN Bayan Foundation, is now being heard by the Bfad in Quezon City.

Findings indicate that the Del Monte tomato sauce with sample code A-BB0812091F8 purchased by Bautista had the highest protein level of 1.47± 0.07-percent crude protein, while two other Del Monte samples with codes B-BB081909GF8 and C-BB081209HF6 had 1.09± 0.03 percent and 1.11± 0.02-percent crude protein.
